Talbot Run – Games Rally was Super-cool!

The Talbot Run RIding Center Pony Club Games Teams did a great job on Sunday at the Carroll County Equestrian Center.  Our lesson horses and assorted games ponies made us proud in demonstrating how far they have come in mastering the art of playing games.  The horses provided a strong performance and we are particularly proud of our lesson horses masquerading as games ponies!   The riders and ponies have been practicing over the last two months and played 10 different relay races at the rally.  Our teams included the Green Machine, Deal with it!, The Painted Mustang Warriors and the Galloping Grays.  We earned second place in the Senior and Junior divisions with our Rising Stars all receiving blue ribbons:)  Congratulations to our junior team in also earning first place in horse management.  Our senior tream won second place in horse management and made some new friends by scrambling with two other riders.  Special thanks to Chloe and Sarah for being Guardian Angels, to Michelle for jumping in and helping out with the Rising Stars and to Elena  for being a great sport and volunteering to help even though her feet were killing her!!!!!!  Also – major kudos to Jenn K. for making all the games equipment, for her generous donations and for organizing us for the rally and helping with all the practices.  An added heart felt thanks to the Valentis for providing the senior team with games ponies and all day trailer runs!!! And as always – way to go Robin for helping the kids progress in their skills and knowledge of games and thanks to Mr. Bob for endless trips back and forth with the trailer, and to all our wonderful parents for their positive support and willingness to volunteer and help out.  Great job everyone!
