Springdale Preparatory Equine Studies

Talbot Run is happy to continue our ongoing relationship with Springdale Prep School in New Windsor. Robin Petrasek teaches Animal and Equine Science at the school and coordinates the Equestrian Program. Talbot Run offers riding lessons programs at all levels to all Springdale students fall and spring semester. These lessons include instruction in both riding and horsemanship. Springdale students have the opportunity to participate in all activities at Talbot Rub including our IEA Dressage team, United States Pony Club program and our eventing, jumper and dressage show teams. They are also invited to our in-house shows and clinics. In addition - the Springdale Equestrian Club meets at Talbot Run on a regular basis and students are able to participate in a variety of horse related activities. All students enrolled in Animal Science and Equine Science visit Talbot Run during their classes to have hands on experiences with our horses. You may see some of the TREC ponies and horses visiting the school – we bring them several times a year for open house, class visits and field days. Springdale partners with our Pony Club riding Center and we are delighted to be able to use the facility for our winter quiz sessions and our Annual banquet.
